This began on Saturday and it has been very annoying. The pop-ups seem to advertise for random things but more often than not deals with some sort of computer virus remover software that I can download for free. I tend to think my problem is related to the people behind said product, but I know very little about computers and thus do not know how to battle this problem. I would greatly appreciate any help/advice that can be given.

I had this problem myself there are several programs i used. So i don’t really kno what worked!!! Therefore i believe some programs do different things in taking out certain virus’ and or popups

These sites are free programs: CCLEANER takes out temporary internet files that could help you in taking out space that has been taken. The rest will assist in your problem

I have a very good tip that may function with you, I learned it recently. Look if you are running Windows XP the first thing you have to do is remove this with an antivirus tool.In the worst case that you can not do so, you have to erase your hard disk and install all the programs you need and you trust again. Then you can make two acounts (in the control panel, user acounts) one as an ADMINISTRATOR and the other call restricted account you can navigate with the restricted acount and no other programs could be install while you navigate only if you open the andministrator account and you use it to install programs that you trust. Also you can cleen your internet browser cache at Internet options safely, and activate a pop up bloker as the one is included in the google tool bar or yahoo tool bar
