I personally don’t trust Norton or ANYTHING to do with Symantec anymore. I had it’s like ’04 edition[I think] and it stopped working not long after we got it and then wouldn’t allow us to do anything to it, and didn’t go away until we wiped the stupid computer[which we had to do thanks to some virus]. So maybe it IS a good Anti Virus, but ABSOLUTELY buy it from a store, never from online.

Try taking a flash drive and installing MalwareBytes/Avira/AVG/etc. on it and then plugging it into your computer and running it from the flash drive, that’s what my dad did with mine.

Running two firewalls can cause a conflict with eachother, which may result into computer crashes, no internet (rarley), Lock ups, and annoying pop ups. Some cases, cripple the PC

Running two antivirus may result the same way of having two firewalls. Its good if you have one antivirus with realtime protection on, while the other doesn’t. So it wouldn’t cause a conflict.

Im not too sure about having two antispywares. I had three of them on my old PC, and I have two on my current Pc.

My computer is armed and ready with 2 firewalls, 3 antiviruses and 3 antispyware programs. Now explain why it would be bad to have 2 firewalls/more than 1 antispyware/antivirus programs?

kaspersky is really good along with AVG.

  12. TrojanxInfection says:

    What about kaspersky?

  13. knuckles305786 says:

Since multiple computers that are connected to the same network. There firewall may be programed to let internet activity to flow without disturbance. They are all on shared networking, so they don’t know what to expect.

  14. knuckles305786 says:

No the virus will not damage the computer while it’s off. No softwares or programs are running for the virus to infect.

  15. knuckles305786 says:

    What antivirus do you have?

  16. knuckles305786 says:

    1) Yes you can still install an antivirus while your PC is infected. (Safe Mode Recommended)

    2) When your PC is off, nothing is happening. It’s just sitting there. No softwares are running for the virus to attack.

  17. knuckles305786 says:

um…I have another question…the virus affecting my computer just happened today, like really just a couple of minutes ago…and I have no reason how it got there…all I remember was playing this game…and a pop-up came up, I tried to closed it….and more came and the computer froze…but I turned off the computer…will the virus still damage the computer when it is turned off?

  22. carmaelldansenlove says:

I have a question…when you plug the internet connection, to prevent other computers get infected…what would happen if the other computer had the fire wall turned on…do you still unplug it?
